Put the kettle on, mind the oven, the furnace is burning and there’s no rat in the kitchen so here’s what we’re gonna do: Shiva is nearly boiling over with new music and we’re anxious to give you a bite! As some of you may know we have a tasty recipe for Chili co Carne (we picked it up in Sweden ;-) We still like it very much, in fact we made a new choreography to it and for many other songs as well. (Thanks Maarten for your inventive advice!)
Once in a while you want something else for supper, so we started to browse cook-books and asked some chefs to make new recipes for Shiva Knows. As with all new things you want to try it a few times before you present it to somebody else and that’s what we’ve been doing these last few months. We have to admit that its quite difficult to leave the Swedish kitchen in order to find our own dish. We’ve been spoilt by our Swedish chef! We don’t want to present you with fast food, but we sure want you to like it immediately! On June 23rd we will perform in Winterthur. We are going to bring you our delicious Tribute to the Real Group program. We will do the same on the 2nd of july in Cologne where the Real Restaurant with Shiva's Swedisch dishes is open at 20:00. Check out our website for specific information. At the end of July we will take part at the A Cappella Festival in Graz where we will try something new. It has been a little while since we’ve been there and we are looking forward to it!
See you soon! |

Here is some News! Special Newsbulletin from Shiva Knows!
It snows, it's cold, the wind blows and cold is my nose. My feet are cold
too BUT warm are our greetings to you eager fans, waiting for the news that
Shiva brings.
In fact, we are working hard (some harder than others, Jan-Diether!!!) to
get acquainted with the wonderful new material specially made for the group. Mr. Zimmerman has made an intrigueing arrangement of "In the winter", by Janis Ian and Tanja loves it! Josh Groban will be surprised to hear his
"February Song" in January or March next year! Angèle is bravely working on
her own arrangement of ........( surprise!) and Jan Wouter has made an
arrangement of "Papa", a very catchy song when sung by Dynamic. Let's find
out if we can match it! Speaking of matches: It's very BRRRRRRR! outside at
the moment.
Well it ought to be for Christmas is drawing near, the season of
holly and hot chocolate and shop till you drop.
Well, let everyone do his thing, groove through the cold months in your own
sweet ways.
Meanwhile Shiva keeps the candle burning and we'll hope to light your fire
next year! |

On Friday 26th of March we performed at the extraordinary "Kuppelsaal", a baroque bibliotheque overlooking the town of Bregenz (Austria).
We were invited for a double concert by Ottava Rima, an outstanding choir singing classical as well as pop repertoire.
Their performances are very tasteful and of a high level. According to the many positive reactions afterwards we succeeded in surprising our audience with our varied repertoires.
Ottava-Rima: thank you for this opportunity!
The day afterwards we drove to Switserland, to Rorschach where we participated in the 7th A Cappella Festival Rorschach.
It was organised and hosted by its local choir: 9400 Rorschach
See: www. acappella-rorschach.ch
We were part of the roulating festival: Five groups, very different from eachother, alternatingly performing on five locations.
Every group gets a companion who will take care for the group to be at the right spot on the right time. Ours was called Monika Fasola (what’s in a name?), a Swiss miss who turned out to be very pleasant and who must have been a motorist in a former life. She can tackle any mountain with great ease!
Monika: Thank you for your enthousiasm and warm personality!
Each time we got a few minutes to adjust to every new stage and then it was: “do or die.”
And we did. It turned out to be great fun. We were able to give five good performances even when the stages were somewhat improvised sometimes.
At the end of the evening we all got together again and sang to eachother in an informal way.
Chorschach: let’s do it again sometime!
Unfortunately, Jan Wouter’s car broke down on our way back to the hotel.
It could not be repaired right away, so we had to stay another day in the interesting town of Bregenz. We strolled along the lake and watched the big outdoor stage by the water: quite impressing! |

We’re very proud to present our latest CD
Shiva Knows: “A Tribute To The Real Group”
Ingredients: One mic, five blending voices, a blanket on the ground and last but not least a soundwizard to mix it all together.
With lots of Tokaij wine, salami and goulash soup studio technician Gabor Molnar and bariton Luc spent some nut-cracking time together with stunning results.
Now you can order this CD and find out for yourself. Have fun listening and let us know what you think about it.
To order: go to Media/Discography on our website.
Spring is here!
On Friday, March 26th we will perform in the wonderful town of Bregenz (Austria). Our singing friends from Ottava Rima asked us to perform together in the impressive Kuppelsaal.
On Saturday, March 27th we are going to participate in the a cappella festival of Rorschach (Switserland).
