We were invited for a double concert by Ottava Rima, an outstanding choir singing classical as well as pop repertoire. Their performances are very tasteful and of a high level. According to the many positive reactions afterwards we succeeded in surprising our audience with our varied repertoires. Ottava-Rima: thank you for this opportunity! The day afterwards we drove to Switserland, to Rorschach where we participated in the 7th A Cappella Festival Rorschach.
It was organised and hosted by its local choir: 9400 Rorschach See: www. acappella-rorschach.ch
We were part of the roulating festival: Five groups, very different from eachother, alternatingly performing on five locations.
Every group gets a companion who will take care for the group to be at the right spot on the right time. Ours was called Monika Fasola (what’s in a name?), a Swiss miss who turned out to be very pleasant and who must have been a motorist in a former life. She can tackle any mountain with great ease! Monika: Thank you for your enthousiasm and warm personality! Each time we got a few minutes to adjust to every new stage and then it was: “do or die.”
And we did. It turned out to be great fun. We were able to give five good performances even when the stages were somewhat improvised sometimes.
At the end of the evening we all got together again and sang to eachother in an informal way. Chorschach: let’s do it again sometime! Unfortunately, Jan Wouter’s car broke down on our way back to the hotel. It could not be repaired right away, so we had to stay another day in the interesting town of Bregenz. We strolled along the lake and watched the big outdoor stage by the water: quite impressing! |

On Friday 26th of March we performed at the extraordinary "Kuppelsaal", a baroque bibliotheque overlooking the town of Bregenz (Austria).
