Impressing voices, that’s what you hear when you listen to vocal quintet Shiva Knows. Last Saturday this Dutch vocal ensemble sang in the city church of Treysa. This concert, including 18 songs, was part of Kultursommer Nordhessen. At this evening they sang a mixed program with songs of their own and covers. The voice of Jan-Diether van den Berg sounded so smooth.

His fragile but crystal clear tones found their way to the astonished audience. A couple of minutes later, Tanja Raich took the leading part. She has a wonderful dark and low sounding voice. When you would be able to eat tones then her’s would taste like a ripe good bottle of wine which got plenty of sun. One of the songs Raich sang was called ‘Eyes Of A Child’. The biggest triumph of this ensemble are their voices. Shiva Knows is successful. They won at the International ‘Ward Swingle Award’ a cappella festival in Graz the 2nd prize and the Audience Award.
