Jan-Diether van den Berg got his first records of the Seekers and Eartha Kitt at the age of six and played them so often that eventually they sounded more like a crackling camp-fire. As a boy he was a high soprano singing in school-plays. When he was nine years old he took piano lessons and at the age of sixteen he discovered Judy Garland who has been his inspiration since then. He studied singing at the conservatory in Maastricht. When he is not singing in one of his vocal projects or in Shiva you can find him enjoying nature and smoking cigars.
